Detail Supervisor

Reports to: Associate General Manager

Job Summary:

Our process-oriented approach ensures that we trust in our methods and continually refine them for optimal results, firmly believing in the power of trusting the process as a key driver of our success. is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the detail department. The Detail Supervisor must department standards for quality, cleanliness, and professionalism while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. The Detail Supervisor incentive plan is tied directly to the P&L of the Detail Department. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Communication and Coordination:

• Continuously working with the concierge and management staff to optimize the detail department’s performance- including doing detail consultations, providingaccurate time estimates for service completion, and addressing any special customer requests.

2. Quality Control & Guest Satisfaction:

• Ensuring the service provided by the Detail Staff is up to Mint Eco standards. 

• Delivering completed vehicles to the guests and answering any questions they may have.

3. Detail Department Duties:

• Supervise employees and work alongside them to ensure both quality and efficiency in service delivery.

• Manage and order all detailing department products and equipment as needed.

4. Scheduling and Labor Management:

• Create the detail department team schedule within the parameters set by the AGM and GM.

• Manage department staff to meet company standards, including supervising employees, assigning tasks, and monitoring individual performance.

5. Customer Experience and Satisfaction:

• Ensure a five-star customer experience by delivering high-quality detailing services and exceeding customer expectations.

• Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

6. Site Operations:

• Open and close the site as required.

• Ensure the detail team is compliant with company policies. 

• Maintaining a clean and organized department.

• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.

• Controlling detail department expenses to maximize profitability- without compromising on quality or guest satisfaction. 

Qualifications:

• 40-50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work effectively outside in a fast-paced environment.

• Bilingual – proficient in English & Spanish

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive detailing or a related field.

• Supervisory or management experience.

• Knowledge of detailing products, equipment, and techniques.

Tips:

The Detail Supervisor is authorized to receive tips from cars they solely completed. Any mismanagement or manipulation of tips will result in termination.
